Statement [ESP]

Mi trabajo explora las crisis medioambientales y sociales que condicionan nuestra actualidad, con un enfoque crítico desde el feminismo y el artivismo ecológico. Me interesa cuestionar el presente y los conflictos que percibo en mi entorno, siendo consciente de la naturaleza opresiva y mecanizada del sistema patriarcal y de la visión antropocéntrica en la que estamos inmersos.

Me interesa la relación que mantenemos con el entorno —biosfera— y otras entidades no humanas, y las relaciones de poder que surgen de esa interacción.  A través de mis obras, investigo, exploro y revisito estas relaciones desde la ambigüedad y utilizando un lenguaje visual-poético buscando desplazar aquellas formas de percepción que damos por establecidas.

No me limito a un único medio artístico; por el contrario, utilizo una variedad de técnicas, siendo la fotografía digital y la narrativa curatorial las que más me representan. Trabajo desde la conceptualización de ideas y su materialización visual multilenguaje, con sutilezas poéticas que se articulan a través de la mirada crítica. En mi proceso creativo, priorizo el tratamiento de la idea y el concepto por encima de la forma.

Actualmente, mi investigación se orienta a la exploración de otras dimensiones y otros estados de percepción para presentar otra versión de nuestra realidad; lo que es normativo, hegemónico, posible o verdadero es desarmado y desmantelado –conceptos preconcebidos sobre los que nuestra sociedad erigió sus pilares– para explorar otras versiones más fluidas, libres y etéreas de nuestra realidad.

My work explores the environmental and social crises that shape our present, approaching them through a critical perspective grounded in feminism and ecological artivism. I am interested in questioning the present and the conflicts I perceive in my surroundings, while remaining conscious of the oppressive and mechanised nature of the patriarchal system and the anthropocentric worldview in which we are immersed.

I am interested in the relationship we maintain with our environment—the biosphere—and with other non-human entities, as well as the power relations that emerge from these interactions. Through my work, I investigate, explore, and revisit these relationships through ambiguity and the use of a visual-poetic language, seeking to disrupt forms of perception that we tend to take for granted.

I do not limit myself to a single artistic medium; rather, I work across a variety of techniques, with digital photography and curatorial narrative being the ones that most strongly represent my practice. I work from the conceptualisation of ideas and their visual, multi-lingual materialisation, incorporating poetic subtleties articulated through a critical gaze. In my creative process, I prioritise the development of the idea and concept over form.

Currently, my research is oriented towards the exploration of other dimensions and states of perception as a means of presenting alternative versions of our reality. What is considered normative, hegemonic, possible, or true is dismantled and taken apart—preconceived notions upon which our society has built its foundations—in order to explore other, more fluid, free, and ethereal versions of reality.
