Guide visit lead by COCO to El archivo liberado (Realizing the archive) at cdf (Centro de Fotografía) in Montevideo.

Saturday, July 2, 2022, along with COCO we will be guiding a visit to the exhibition "The liberated archive" on the cdf (Centro de Fotografia). The activity will consist of reflecting on and comparing the exhibition with Archivo X, an active investigation developed by COCO.

Coaching & mentoring for artists

Starting in June 2022, in collaboration with Galería Zoco (Punta del Este, Uruguay), I will mentor and coach contemporary artists in their creative process.

RIP en el CCE

On behalf of COCO (Colectiva Co), we would like to invite you to our latest exhibition RIP, at the CCE (Cultural Center of Spain). RIP is an artistic action that aims to reveal the hidden narrative (dominated by patriarchal and hetero-normative power) of Uruguay’s art history. An exhibition that shows the research on which Archivo X is based.

Archivo X project selected at VI MMM call.

Archivo X was selected in the VI edition of MMM (Mujeres Mirando Mujeres). MMM, an initiative created by women in art in Madrid committed to the fight for gender equality. It takes the form of an online publication inviting art managers, curators and bloggers or journalists to present artist work, with the aim of empowering women in art. Starting on March 9, 2020, the selected works within which Archivo X is located, will be published on the MMM website.

Seminar Los Archivo del Arte X en ESTE ARTE

Within the framework of the Este Arte fair, which was held at the Punta del Este Convention Center, we (with colectivaco.com) presented, in the seminar Art and its archive, the project Archivo X. The panel was integrated by artist Vladimir Muhvich, Isabel Wschebor Coordinator of the Audiovisual Preservation Laboratory of the General Archive UDELAR and Catalina Bunge in representation of COCO.

Workshop “¿Quién es quién? Reconociendo artistas uruguayas” #CCEenCasa Online

The workshop intends to introduce to the youngest, female Uruguayan artists that were mostly forgotten in the national history of art. Inspired by the Face to Face game, a virtual activity is proposed to have fun with the family from our homes, while learning about the artists, their works and the main characteristics of their life. The game will finalised with the preparation of a virtual exhibition to be exhibited in CCE’s website; each participant will have to interpret and create an artwork of their own inspired by the work of one of the artist of the game.

Portadores D, in ¿Qué escuchaste? publication

Interview with the Catalan artist David Bestué, published in the book ¿Qué escuchaste?. The publication was produced by the research group “Conversación Abierta” (Feb - Dic 2019) in Sala Alcalá 31, Community of Madrid and aims to reflect on the role of the curator.
